Rates on shipping are in US Dollars and are subject to change without prior notification. Please check our Currency Exchange page for an idea of today's currency exchange rate when dealing in foreign currency. Invoiced rates will be the prevailing rates at the time of shipments.

Carriers for items shipped by Useful Lama Items include, but are not restricted to, the United States Mail, United Parcel Service, Federal Express and DHL.

Shipments to locations outside of the Continental United States are based on weight. Delivery rates and schedules vary from country to country. Useful Lama Items reserves the right to add handling charges and insurance coverage as necessary to be certain that you receive your order in a timely manner.

If you are in need of an item for a special occasion, please let us know at the time of your order. We will advise you by e-mail or phone of shipping options and charges as they apply to your situation.

We welcome your custom orders. However, there are no refunds or exchanges on custom orders. There are also no returns accepted on tapes, CD's, software, medical products, oral products or custom clothing items. Any other returns must be done within 15 days of your receipt of the item(s) and must be done with authorization by Useful Lama Items. If a return or exchange is to be made due to our error there will be no cost to you for the return or for shipping the replacement or exchanged item(s). Credits for returns do not include outgoing shipping charges.

We strive to ship all orders within 24 hours of receiving the order. Items may be shipped overnight or second day air at your request. Of course, added shipping costs above our published shipping charges will be passed along to you for these requests. Emergency orders may be received and shipped up until 6 PM Central Standard / Daylight Time, Monday - Friday (with the exceptions of National Holidays).

Orders bound for Hawaii, Alaska and outside of the Continental United States will be shipped by the best method available at the time of the order and charged for the prevailing shipping rates to these destinations.

We make every attempt to stock heavily on all items featured in our on-line and printed catalog. Back-orders may occur if sales exceed our expectations or our suppliers fall short of our expectations in getting product(s) to us on-time. Orders will not be held up awaiting on back-ordered items if we can help it. No additional shipping charges will be assessed to you for shipping back-ordered items.

Some products such as vaccines, fresh colostrum and plasma require Next Day Air or Second Day Air shipping. Useful Lama Items reserves the right to determine the best method of shipping these and like items in order to get these products into your hands in a timely manner.

Major credit cards including VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER and AMERICAN EXPRESS are accepted for mail, phone, e-mail and fax orders. E-mail orders are encrypted for your privacy. C.O.D. orders are accepted on most merchandise and carry an additional $15.00 fee. We reserve the right to charge 1.5% interest per month (18% per annum) on overdue balances. A $25.00 charge is assessed NSF checks.
